30 HR Sales Remedial Real Estate Course: New York Real Estate Remedial Course is offered in a variety of flexible schedules. Instructor handouts and review materials are included in tuition. Tuition includes a non-refundable $25.00 application processing fee. 30 HR Sales Remedial Real Estate Course Price: $200.00 This course is a prerequisite to "bridge the gap" for currently licensed Salesperson who have taken 45 hour Salesperson course prior to June 30, 2008 wish to obtain a Broker’s license. The New York State Department of State increased Salesperson course requirement from 45 hours to 75 hours effective from July 01, 2008. This course will NOT satisfy New York State Educational Requirements for a new Salesperson. This course is only for students who passed a 45-hour Salesperson course and never received a license or a Real Estate Agent becoming a Broker who originally took the 45-hour Salesperson course prior to June 30, 2008. No state exam is given for the 30-hour Sales Remedial Course, however, students must take school exam and pass an end of the course. Those passing the exam also earn 15 hours of continuing education credits (The Continuing Education must include at least 2.5 hours on the subject of ethical business practices, at least 1 hour of recent legal matters, at least 3.0 hours of Fair Housing, and at least 1 hour of instruction pertaining to the law of Agency would still be needed to fulfill the 22.5 hour CE requirement.) to renew their license.
